| Hello, I just purchased a 1990 ttz with a low rpm hesitation problem. This is what I have noticed so far. 1. When sitting idle, the car rpm jumps from a solid 700rpm to about 1000rpm. It may sit up there for a minute or two before lowering itself back to 700 or so. 2. When driving, if I shift gears below the 2000 rpm, the car stumbles. it doesnt stall, but you can totally feel it fighting hard to keep movign down the road. If I shift gear rapidly or above 2000 rpm, the car runs perfectly fine.
I have googled my eyes out, and it appears this issue is common on the 1990 with a bad left cylinder head. Is that so? Should I go and remachine the head or buy a new head?
Finally, and Z owners here know of a good reputable shop to buy or get the car repaired at, close to vancouver, britsh columbia... EH?
thanks!!!
